As we go searching for our dreams
We may not notice all is not the way it seems
Struggling in the dark as we lie awake at night
When every moment threatens overwhelming fright
And though we always think we know
We do not quite remember where we have to go

We do not know; we cannot see

Look out! The end is coming fast
We may not notice 'til it reaches us at last
Sooner than we think - things unfinished, still to do
Do our accomplishments define us? Is that true?
Or is it being who are? If we relax and let life live us will we star?
Living on the edge - is that how it's meant to be?
Or is it living love that is reality?
We do not know; we cannot see
Lord only You can help us be
Who you made us
Living life in You
Deep in mystery
Spirit flowing through
Helping us to be
As we go wandering through our lives
As girls and boys, as lovers, partners, husbands wives;
Looking for the path hidden deep within our soul
That we can't find, because we're oh so far from whole;
And as resentment clouds our view
Like thunderclouds that hide from us the things we knew
We must not give up, we must let go, we must grow
And let our hearts take us where logic cannot go
We do not know; we cannot see
